A short comedy film by Director R. David Burns.
He was only ten-years-old when entering the American Civil War. He would bear witness to death and destruction at such an age when he should have been running through local creeks and fields at home with his friends. He would serve with the 22nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry, titled as a drummer. At the young age of 13 he would be promoted to Lance Sergeant and would fight before that through the horrible battle of Chickamauga. The young boy would witness horrible pain that not even adults should have to see. The young lad would become a courier for the famous General George H. Thomas and would become close friends to many more well known names throughout the Army of the Cumberland. His military life would span some sixty years, moving through most of the ranks eventually ending at Brigadier General just at the brink of World War 1.
