AUDITIONS OPEN AUDITION POLICY Calling all struggling or aspiring actors and actresses! HISTORICAL PRODUCTIONS, INC. is currently holding an OPEN AUDITION POLICY for our upcoming productions throughout 2008. Anyone interested in the possibility of appearing or starring in one of our projects please follow the guidelines located below. We welcome all to submit their audition, and each submission will be carefully considered.
1.) PRIVATE LEWIS FENTON - Age 18-25. A CONFEDERATE PRIVATE. NO LONGER AVAILABLE. 2.) CORPORAL ANDERSON LANE - Age 30-40. A CONFEDERATE CORPORAL. NO LONGER AVAILABLE 3.) CAPTAIN ISAAC McKINNEY - Age 35-40. A UNION CAPTAIN. "A coward, but keeps it secretive. Ran from the battle when things got too hot. Immediately takes an extreme dislike to the main characters and doesn't like his orders questioned." Must be able to carry long dialogue, as well as portray a madman. 4.) PRIVATE EZEKIAL ALSOP - Age 18-30. A CONFEDERATE PRIVATE. NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Apart from those listed above, we are searching for actors and actresses of all ages to fill out the many smaller roles and guest parts for the film. These parts range from military privates, Confederate soldiers and officers, to Union officers. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE SCREENPLAY, WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY AUDITIONS FOR CIVILIAN PARTS AT THIS TIME. We are also in need of all reenactors to fill the part of background artists and bit roles throughout. Private impressions are preferred, however there are a select number of officer and civilian background roles to be filled. Filming to begin in April 2008 and continue through the Summer.
AUDITIONS BY MAIL There are two ways that you can audition, in person or by mail. For those of you who wish to be considered for a part in the series but are unable to make the above listed audition dates, we will be accepting submissions through the mail from now through the end of summer 2007. If you wish to submit your audition through the mail, please follow these simple guidelines: 1. Include a clear and easy to recognize photograph of yourself. Portraits are preferred, however any photo with a clear shot of your face and type can be used. Please write your full name and contact info (at least a phone number and/or email address) on the back. Please remember that all photos submitted can not be returned. 2. Include on a separate sheet of paper your full name and contact information, including a current address, phone number, and email address if possible. If you have had any prior acting experience, please include a list of performances including the dates and locations/network/studio/agency information. Also include a detailed description of yourself and any special talents you may possess (such as horseback riding, singing, sports, hobbies, reenacting) that may be useful in the part your seeking. 3. If you have a specific part you are looking to be considered for, please include which one with your description. We will keep you in mind for the part in question, but please keep in mind that we may believe you are better suited for another part and consider you for that. 4. Please include a recorded copy of your audition piece. This is very important for mailed submissions. Your recordings may be on audio (Cassette or CD) or video (VHS or DVD only). You may chose whatever you like to read, but make sure there is enough for us to see just how talented you are. If you wish, specific audition pieces for the series can be obtained by contacting the email address or number listed below. Please specify which part you would like to read for in order to be sent the right one from the list above.

AUDITIONS BY PERSON For those of you who wish to audition in person, we do allow FIRST TIME IN-PERSON AUDITIONS to be conducted on a limited basis. All guidelines listed above should be followed, as well as the following points: 1. All In-Person Auditions need to be arranged by phone with a representative of Historical Productions. A date and time will be set up that is mutually agreed upon by both the company and you. The location shall be determined by the company, unless an alternate location suggested by you is agreed upon as acceptable. 2. All persons auditioning should come prepared with a copy of the selected pages and any other material chosen that you wish to read. All auditions should last no more than 15 minutes. Please supply any material or props that you wish to use in your audition. You may come in costume if you believe it will help with the reading, however this is not necessary. 3. As with the mailed auditions, you may request an audition packet and script pages by contacting us by email or phone.
